The SPIM - SKIN PHYSIOLOGY INTERNATIONAL MEETING is an exclusive scientific meeting dealing specifically with skin physiology. The high level of sciences joins the convivial and friendly spirit of this special event.

SPIM strives to be a place of interactive exchanges of thoughts, views and methods and without dogmatic position between various disciplines within the skin physiology professional arena. Several experts (physiologists, biochemists, dermatologists and pharmacologists) coming from all over the world (USA, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, etc) present their latest results of basic research carried out by working on skin (its multi-components, physiology, functions, ageing and microflora) and on specific methods of investigation.

SPIM encourages cross-collaboration between researchers of various disciplines involved in studying skin and metabolic interactions which take place in normal functioning and disorders.

 
 
 

For the SPIM, 2 awards are delivered

The SPIM Junior Scientist Award

9 young scientists preparing a PhD or in post-PhD are selected and invited by the scientific committee for oral presentation of their results. At the conclusion of SPIM, during a special session in the last afternoon session, a grant of 15,000 euro is awarded to the Best Junior Researcher.

The SPIM Best Poster Award

All participants are able to present a poster dealing with a particular topic related to skin physiology. The “Best Poster” will be elected by all SPIM participants and the winning poster entrant will receive a grant of 4,000 euro.

The SPIM in a few words

The SPIM - SKIN PHYSIOLOGY INTERNATIONAL MEETING - wants to be, first and foremost, a place of exchanges between various disciplines and approaches, in both an innovative and convivial open context, without dogmatic stances.
Limited to 200 participants.

Aims of the SPIM

  To conceive and to show new research ways in the Dermocosmetology field
  To provide a relaxed atmosphere for an interactive exchange of views to:
  Analyse the latest information on skin physiology,
  Look in to new subjects and avenues of research,
  Present original and «smart» experiments- Encourage cross-collaboration between researchers of various disciplines involved in studying skin and metabolic interactions which take place in normal functioning and disorders,
  Generate discussions between all professionals,
  Indeed, the objective of all presentations from experts and junior researchers is anintensive, scientific and convivial exchange between all participants in a frame of comfortable and pleasant place.
  In addition, international artists before and during the gala dinner enlarge the debate on the sensibility, imagination and analyse of all scientists…
